Jennifer Lopez has canceled her “This Is Me.Now The Tour,” saying she wants to spend time with family and friends.
The tour, in support of Lopez’s This Is Me… Now album, was set to kick of on June 26th and cover more than 30 cities.
Lopez, for whom the tour would have marked her first trek in five years, said she is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends amid rumors of a split with her husband Ben Affleck, Entertainment Tonight says, citing a representative of Live Nation.
Lopez also shared the news about the cancellation of the tour through her OntheJLo Newsletter, saying, “I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down.”
“Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary,” she continued. “I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time.”
There were also rumors that Live Nation canceled many shows due to poor ticket sales.
This Is Me… Now, which is Jennifer’s first studio album in nearly a decade, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Top Album Sales chart.
