Coldplay have reportedly been forced to pay a seven-figure sum to their former manager Dave Holmes after he sued the band for 10 million pounds.

The band parted ways with Holmes back in 2022 after over two decades, leading to a lengthy legal battle.

In 2023, Holmes claimed he was owed 10 million pounds in unpaid commission for Coldplay’s tenth and eleventh albums, which are both yet to be released.

However, the band countersued for 14 million pounds, claiming Holmes lost control of budgeting for their Music of the Spheres tour and overspent by 17.5 million pounds.

According to The Sun, paperwork filed at the High Court confirmed that in May, the band agreed an undisclosed seven-figure settlement to prevent private details being made public in court.

Phil Sherrell, Holmes’s lawyer, told Variety, “Holmes successfully managed Coldplay for more than 22 years, steering them to be one of the most successful bands in history. Now Coldplay is refusing to pay him what he is owed.”
